Treble Overture
The Treble Overture is a treble (Sopranos and Altos) choir consisting of 9-12 graders. They perform in our four main concerts (October, December, March, May) and rehearse daily during 7th hour. Opportunities for learning to be a constructive community member, adapting to a high school choral environment, and bolstering confidence are all provided daily. It is a valuable musical experience for learning to match pitch and vowels, solidifying basic sight-reading skills, successfully navigating vocal adolescence, and singing in two-to-four part harmony.
Bass Overture
The Bass Overture is composed of emerging Basses and Tenors in grades 9-12. They perform in our four main concerts (October, December, March, May) and rehearse daily during 2nd hour. Opportunities for learning to be a constructive community member, adapting to a high school choral environment, and bolstering confidence are all provided daily. It is a valuable musical experience for learning to match pitch and vowels, solidifying basic sight-reading skills, successfully navigating vocal adolescence, and singing in two-and-three part harmony.
Treble Choral Society
Treble Choral Society is a treble (Sopranos and Altos) choir consisting of 10-12 graders. They perform in our four main concerts (October, December, March, May) and rehearse daily at the crack of dawn - 1st hour. Opportunities for positive community and social engagement, developing confidence, and gaining valuable teamwork skills are all provided daily. Musical experiences in this choir include making independent musical choices, encouraging sight-reading skills, and singing in two-to-four part harmony.
Varsity Bass
Varsity Bass choir is composed of basses, baritones, and tenors in grades 10-12. They perform in our four main concerts (October, December, March, May) as well as have extra opportunities for performance throughout the year. Growth opportunities include developing positive connections between different ages, encouragement of creativity, and many leadership roles. Musical experiences in this choir include a variety of cultural traditions, sight-singing in harmony, and crafting a performance with the audience's perception in mind. The Varsity Bass often pair with the Varsity Treble in performances.
Varsity Treble
Varsity Treble is a treble (Sopranos and Altos) choir consisting of students in grades 10-12. They perform in our four main concerts (October, December, March, May) as well as have extra opportunities for performance throughout the year. Growth opportunities include developing positive connections between different ages, encouragement of creativity, and many leadership roles. Musical experiences in this choir include a variety of cultural traditions, sight-singing in harmony, and crafting a performance with the audience's perception in mind. The Varsity Treble often pair with the Varsity Bass in performances.
North Choir
North Choir is the only mixed choir at Appleton North. It is comprised of students in grades 11-12. They perform in our four main concerts (October, December, March, May) as well as many extra opportunities for performance throughout the year. Growth opportunities include trips outside the Midwest every other year. Recent trips include such places as Ireland, Italy, and Austria. Musical experiences are wide-ranging to include cultural traditions from around the world, premiering new works from fresh composers, and masterworks that span many centuries of highly regarded music - all performed with a high level of artistry and passion.
